We are committed to minimzing the impact we have on our environment. To assure minimal strain on nature, we shall consider these three major elements:
The European Union (EU) has issued a directive on restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) used in electrical and electronic equipment.
Global concerns over the human health and environment risks associated with the use of certain environmentally-sensitive materials in electrical and electronic products has made the European Union to enact the Directive.
The directive restricts the amount of Lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium, hexavalent chromium and two bromine-containing flame retardants PBB (polybrominated biphenyls) and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ethers) used in electrical and electronic equipment
By July 1, 2006, RoHS substances had to be eliminated to legal limits for new products put on the marked.
projectiondesign meet the requirements of RoHS Directive on a worldwide basis.
The Ministry of Information Industry (MII) of the People’s Republic of China overall legislation: “Management Methods for the Control of Pollution from Electronic Information Products”, commonly referred to as China RoHS, restricts the six substances lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)), polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) to certain maximum concentration values (MCV). projectiondesign products have the pollution control logo:
The number in the logo symbolizes the Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP) in years. Period during which toxic or hazardous substances or elements contained will not leak or mutate under normal operating conditions so that the use of the product will not result in any severe environmental pollution, any bodily injury or damage to any assets. The logo also signifies that the product should be recycled immediately after its environmental protection use period has expired.
By March 1, 2007 first step of China RoHS officially went into effect.
The European Union (EU) has issued a directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) which is meant to mitigate the impact of WEEE on our environment.
Improper handling of this type of waste could have a possible negative impact on the environment and human health due to potentially hazardous substances that are generally associated with electrical and electronic equipment.
Information to users, European Union (and EEA) only:
The European Union’s Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and your national law, requires all electrical and electronic products placed on the European Union market after 13 August 2005 to be marked with the crossed out wheeled bin mark
The crossed out wheeled bin mark symbolize that disposal of electrical and electronic equipment is not to be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at end of life, but to be collected separately.
For this purpose, local authorities have set up municipal drop-off systems for waste electrical and electronic equipment, where equipment can be collected separately.
Users of electrical and electronic equipment must not dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipmentas unsorted municipal waste. Your cooperation in the correct disposal of products will contribute to the effective usage of natural resources.
projectiondesign products conform to all requirements of the EU Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
The product shall be recycled properly. It can be disassembled to facilitate proper recycling of it’s individual parts. The product is using projection lamps that shall be recycled properly.
Consult your dealer, local city office, waste authority, approved WEEE scheme, your household waste disposal service or relevant public authority regarding drop-off points for collection of WEEE.
Information to recyclers:
projectiondesign will provide reuse and treatment information for our products put on the market as required in the WEEE directive. Information will be made available to recycling plants on web.
