Public relations guidelines for projectiondesign

projectiondesign adheres to the highest level of public relations and communications. Outlined below are a set of procedures and guidelines that enable us to assist our partner’s public relations and marketing efforts within their regions and throughout the world.

Press release guidelines

Issuing a press release enables your organization to leverage the visibility of your relationship with projectiondesign.  Benefits to your organization as a valued partner include:

  • To improve communications and increase PR activity in new and existing markets
  • To ensure consistent quality of work

Please read the following guidelines carefully before preparing a press release that involves the use of the projectiondesign name, its members, initiatives and other news regarding projectiondesign.  If, after reading these guidelines, you have further questions or need press release approval, please contact Anders Løkke on anders.lokke@projectiondesign.com.

Press releases at a glance

  • projectiondesign’s communications department must approve all partner press releases referencing avielo by projectiondesign or projectiondesign. 
  • announcements from partners should be made clear and reference the manufacturer.
  • All press releases referencing avielo by projectiondesign or projectiondesign, its members, alliances or initiatives must use approved boilerplate language and follow the reference guidelines as listed below. 
  • Please refer to the Logo Usage Policy for information on the projectiondesign trademark and copyright as well as other style issues for press releases. 
  • Advance approval from other partners, customers, users and third-party suppliers is always required if mentioned in press releases.

projectiondesign encourages its partners to issue press releases about their work with projectiondesign and the audio-visual community.   Examples include announcing a new product into a market, exhibition activity, sponsorship opportunities, or announcements relating to the progress or results of projects. 

Please note:

  • projectiondesign does NOT endorse announcements regarding product sales or discounts. 
  • projectiondesign does NOT endorse announcements regarding product launches unless it is within the scope of how a new product is implemented to benefit the projectiondesign community or how the development of a product was directly aided by company involvement with projectiondesign. 

All costs associated with the writing and distribution of press releases are the responsibility of the organization issuing the release unless arrangements are made prior to distribution.  With few exceptions, projectiondesign does not subsidize or fund costs associated with partner press releases. 

projectiondesign will distribute joint press releases to the internal projectiondesign parnters.  projectiondesign will also distribute joint releases to other appropriate news services and media outlets with which projectiondesign has established relationships.

Obtaining an projectiondesign spokesperson quote

If your organization wishes to include a quote attributed to an projectiondesign spokesperson in a press release, please draft a quote with the key messages you wish to highlight regarding projectiondesign’s relevance to the announcement.  projectiondesign will review the quote and accompanying press release to attribute the quote to an appropriate spokesperson.

Referencing projectiondesign

Following are the guidelines for references to the projectiondesign’s name.  All communications involving the projectiondesign brand must be consistent with the guidelines outlined below:

  • Do NOT abbreviate projectiondesign
  • Do NOT put spell it ProjectionDesign or put a space between the 'projection' and 'design' (ex.  Projection Design).

Boilerplate language and contact details

The "Boilerplate" containing the approved projectiondesign language must be used in all press releases referencing projectiondesign.  The projectiondesign boilerplate may not be modified in any manner.  These should be used alongside the individual partner boilerplate.

Correct approval process

All press releases with projectiondesign references distributed by a partner must be submitted for review to the projectiondesign Communications department at least five (5) business days before announcement date.  We regret that we cannot guarantee approval/turnaround with less than five business day's notice from your organization. 

Any member issuing a press release or announcement referencing projectiondesign must have its public relations representative notify the projectiondesign Communications department with the following information:

  1. Intent to make an announcement and planned announcement date. 
  2. Scope and type of announcement involving the projectiondesign name and project/initiative.
  3. Advance approval from other members is required if they are mentioned in the press release. 
  4. Any associated deliverables and deadlines required of the projectiondesign Communications department. 

Requests for review may be submitted to the projectiondesign Communications department by contacting Anders Løkke.

Regional press events and distribution

Partners are encouraged to distribute PRs to their individual territories on their activity with projectiondesign and should adhere to the above guidelines. 

With press events, the following activity should take place.

  • Clear objectives and communication between projectiondesign on event and timing.   
  • Arrangement of pre-show activity, invites and marketing collateral.
  • All marketing collateral should follow logo, design and press guidelines in this document.
  • A comprehensive list of appointments for the event should be provided at least 5 days prior to the event including any manufacturer-related activites.
  • Follow-up, confirmation and feedback on event positives and pitfalls for future improvement.
